Our History
Protexer Corporation, the parent company for BootieButler brands, was founded in 2004 when the founders discovered a large variety of shoe cover dispensers at a trade show in China and recognized their potential for U.S. markets. From there, they researched the various models of shoe cover dispensers before selecting the best one to introduce to the U.S. market. That model would become the BootieButler.
The Original BootieButler shoe cover dispenser had a basic design and was primarily used in the real estate, construction, and home delivery markets. However, Protexer Corporation knew that with a wider range of shoe covers and further innovation of the dispenser, this product could be successful in other markets as well. In 2005, Protexer, Inc. began doing business under the trade name BootieButler and went to market with the Original BootieButler dispenser and a line of shoe covers.
The Original BootieButler had a great market response, but the company recognized a need for a larger–yet user-friendly–dispenser. So, in 2009, the company brought the KineticButler models to market.
Our Facility Then and Now
The BootieButler® distribution center was once a 12,000 square foot facility in Morristown, Tennessee. However, operations and sales leading up and into 2016 showed us that it was time to make some major changes.
Thanks to the growing exposure and popularity of the unique BootieButler total solution, we outgrew our 12,000 sq. ft. warehouse facility! Our new 90,000 sq. ft. facility, also conveniently located in Morristown, Tennessee will allow us to accommodate increased — yet timely — shipping volumes, all while maintaining the outstanding products, customer service, and support that our customers deserve and have come to expect. Additionally, the BootieButler® sales and administration offices are located in Knoxville, TN.
